It formed itself into an island that moved itself into the Pacific Ocean where it continued support the wildlife that it had taken onto it. For eons, the Centre began to watch the world as it changed and witnessed the development of humanity that emerged from the Ice Age. In the millennia that followed, it would see mankind grow and adapt to its environment though their violent nature began to disturb the Centre. During the mid-20th century, the Centre saw the detonation of the hydrogen bomb and came to the conclusion that mankind was too dangerous to the world. Films
- In Justice League: The New Frontier animated film, the character made an appearance as the primary villain in the cartoon adaptation where he was voiced by Keith David. It was shown as an ancient entity that spawned at the center of the Earth where it decided to eliminate mankind due to the destructive potential they represented. To that end, it began to observe the planet through its telepathy before embarking on a campaign of destruction whereby it spawned numerous dinosaurs and other monsters as it moved across the surface to wipe out civilization. Lois Lane would come to report on the Centre with Superman rallying all the superheroes to battle it. After being defeated, a new strategy was created whereby Ray Palmer would utilize White Dwarf matter to destabilize the sentient landmass and destroying it. Whilst Hal Jordan and Ace Morgan used a fighter jet to attack the creature from the inside, the Flash would place the shrink-ray on the surface to cover it with the White Dwarf light. Hal Jordan would ultimately gain control of the power of the Green Lantern where he used his power ring to hurl the Centre into space where it self-destructed.
