History
The Organization for the Preservation of Human Order, Finis Chaldea (人理継続保障機関フィニス・カルデア, Jinri Keizoku Hoshō Kikan Finisu Karudea?) was a secret agency that was charged with preventing the extinction of the human race. It was founded by Marisbury Animusphere who was a high ranking magic within the Mage's Association whose family's theories were long regarded as abstract and impractical. To rectify this matter, Marisbury came to participate in the Fuyuki Holy Grail War in 2004 where he was the victor and attained the Holy Grail with him wishing for prosperity. As a result, the Chaldea organisation came to flourish and managed to successfully activate the CHALDEAS system.
Overview
It was an observatory/laboratory that recruited talents magi and scientists with their mission being observing the magical and scientific aspects of the world.
It had a number of global sponsors though the biggest contributor was the Mage's Association.
Among the creations of the organisation included:
- LAPLACE : the Phenomenon Recording Cyber-Daemon "LAPLACE" (事象記録電脳魔・ラプラス, Jishō Kiroku Den'nō-Ma Rapurasu?) was completed in 1950 and was Chaldea's third invention that was a magical device able to monitor the past. It collected records of the past including information outside the public knowledge or events that were quietly buried away.
- CHALDEAS : the Global Environment Model "CHALDEAS" (疑似地球環境モデル・カルデアス, Chikyū Kankyō Moderu Karudeasu?) was completed in 1990.
- SHEBA : the Near-Future Observation Lens "SHEBA" (近未来観測レンズ・シバ, Kin Mirai Kansoku Renzu Shiba?) was invented by Lev Lainur and completed in 1999.
- FATE : the Guardian Heroic Spirit Summoning System "FATE" (守護英霊召喚システム・フェイト, Shugo Eirei Shōkan Shisutemu Feito?) was completed in 2004. It was said to be based on the Heroic Spirit summoning system implemented for the Fuyuki Holy Grail War.
- TRISMEGISTUS : the Spiritron Calculation Engine "TRISMEGISTUS" (霊子演算装置・トリスメギリトス, Reiji Enzan Sōchi Torisumegiritosu?) was completed in 2015.
- Coffin : the Coffin: Spiritron Chassis (霊子筐体コフィン, Ryōshi Kyōtai?) were machines to be used by Chaldean masters for rayshifting.
Chaldea was noted to had created countless Designer Babies that were the basis of experiments in creating Demi-Servants. These were beings that were a fusion between a Heroic Spirit and a human with this being the organisation's sixth experiment. Despite this goal, most of the Designer Babies had failed to produce the intended result.
Chaldea's headquarters was situated in Antarctica where it was built 6000 meters above sea level with basement workshops in the snowy mountains of alpine tundra.
