Dean Stanforth.

Dean Charles Stanforth was the dean of Marshall College in 1957, after the death of Marcus Brody. When FBI agents Smith and Taylor suspected Indiana Jones of having Communist ties, they ransacked his office at the campus. The board of regents pressured Stanforth to fire Jones. Instead, he persuaded them to give Jones an extended leave of absence, with pay, in exchange for his resignation. Later, though, after the charges against Jones were dropped, Stanforth was reinstated as dean.
