  • Chas Chandler was created by Jamie Delano and John Ridgway where he made his first appearance in Hellblazer v1 #1 (January, 1988).

Television

  • In Constantine, Chas appeared as a cast member in the live-action television series where he was portrayed by actor Charles Halford. He was described as John Constantine's oldest friend and companion who possessed supernatural survival skills. Chas had a spell of protection cast on him by Constantine where he inadvertently absorbed the lives of 47 people that died when a nightclub caught on fire. As a result of absorbing their life force, he developed the supernatural power of resurrecting from death with his wounds being healed with this coming as the result of one of the absorbed souls that was used up.
  • In Constantine: City of Demons, Chas Chandler appeared in the setting of the animated CW Seed television series where he was voiced by actor Damian O'Hare.

Films

  • In Constantine, Chas Kramer appeared as a character in the live-action film where he was portrayed by actor Shia LaBeouf. He was shown to had met John Constantine and became his cab driver along with apprentice. Chas became very knowledgeable on the occult and demonology though was excluded from Constantine's more important cases. He took part in the final battle alongside John in the attempt to exorcise the demon Mammon from the body of Angela Dodson. During the fight, Chas was killed by the angel Gabriel but was later transformed into an angel.
