Commander Broton
Commander Broton was the commander of a group of Zygons who were stranded on Earth. Their ship was sunken in Loch Ness near Forgill Castle, allowing Broton and his crew to kidnap and impersonate the Duke of Forgill and his ghillie, the Caber. Broton himself impersonated the Duke, living in Forgill Castle and carrying on life as normal, including carrying on the feud with Hybernian Oil director Huckle.
In the form of the Duke, he picked up the Doctor, Sarah Jane Smith and Harry Sullivan in his Range Rover and took them to meet Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart at the Fox Inn in Tulloch. He argued with Huckle and then departed, returning to the Zygon ship where he used the bug in the inn to spy on UNIT.
After Odda brought a kidnapped Harry to the ship, Broton showed him the Skarasen and had Madra impersonate Harry to go and retrieve the homing device which attracted the Skarasen from the Fox Inn. After Madra failed and was killed, Broton used the device to try and have the Skarasen destroy the inn, but the Doctor lured it away instead. When UNIT began searching the inn for the bug, Broton ordered Odda to go and remove it. She succeeded, killing Angus McRanald.
After Sarah infiltrated the Zygon ship and rescued Harry, the Zygons captured the Doctor and held him prisoner, departing Loch Ness and landing in a disused quarry several miles away. Here, Broton turned into the Duke and told the Doctor his plan to attack an energy conference in London using the Skarasen. He left for London, after which the Doctor escaped, freed the real Duke, Caber and Sister Lamont, and destroyed the Zygon ship.
Broton, still disguised as the Duke, arrived in London to plant the homing device to attract the Skarasen. The Doctor and UNIT arrived shortly afterward, and Broton, in his true form, attacked the Time Lord, planting the device in his pocket. He announced he would either destroy Earth or become its master, killing a UNIT soldier before being shot and killed by the Brigadier. Afterwards, the Doctor found the device in his pocket and fed it to the Skarasen. With the device destroyed, the beast left London and returned to Loch Ness.
