History

The Computer Council was a number of sentient quads built by one another over generations and not programmed by humans. They were created in the years following the Great Holocaust that had devastated Earth. The environment itself was one of the casualties that had suffered from humanity's mistakes. As a result, as mankind rebuilt itself, these areas were placed in the hands of the quads that formed the Computer Council that managed these areas where they saved the planet from certain doom. Through their efforts, they managed to bring humanity back to sustainability so that they were not entirely dependent on other planets for food or water. This remained the case into the 25th century where they remained a key element in Earth's administration alongside the Earth Defense Directorate.

Overview

These quads were not programmed by mankind but by one another over the course of centuries. As such, they were not emotionless entities but actually had feelings that could be hurt. It was this sensitivity that separated them from mere machines and instead made them more akin to humans.

Members

  • Dr. Theopolis : a member of the Council who was in charge of the environmental aspects of the Inner City and typically paired with Twiki.
  • Counselor Apol : assigned to the prosecution in the case of the Directorate v. Captain Buck Rogers over the charges of espionage and being a traitor with his case being successful leading to the Council proclaiming the death penalty until this was reversed by Princess Ardala.
