Continoma Project
The Continoma Project was an initiative that features in the MMORPG Earthrise.
Background
The Continoma Project was an initiative that began by a number of scientists during the Third World War on Earth. After millions perished and nations began to crumble, it became immediately apparently that the survival of the Human race was at hand. The scientists in charge of the project began a process of recording the DNA of all Humans into a genetic database so that once the fighting had stopped, the survivors could begin cloning those whose genome had been stored. The scientists in charge of the project were selective in the process and did not store the DNA patterns of criminals or those who were responsible for the carnaga outside though some were bribed so that such genome patterns found their way into the database.
Through the cloning processes made by the Project, the Human race developed a form of immortality as their thought patterns could be transfered into a freshly cloned body allowing such individuals to effectively live forever.
The Pioneers of the Project would stumble forth from their base after the Third World War and fought for a place to call their own on the island of Enterra which they called Sal Vitas, the City of Salvation.
