History
The Specialized Unit, Enhanced Soldiers (S.U.E.S.) were a team of special superhuman operatives that were deployed during World War II. They were commissioned by special order of General Dwight D. Eisenhower and initially led by Captain America after the United States' entered into the war. This saw superheroes being formally placed as part of the U.S. military where they were placed under the command of Steve Rogers. (All-Winners Squad: Band of Heroes v1 #2)
Overview
In appearance, the were a team of superhuman operatives who were also known as the 'Crazy S.U.E.S.'. For the duration of the war, they were a specialised ranger unit that was attached to the 101st Air Assault Division for the purposes of combat operations behind enemy lines. They were intended to be the pride of the United States military and assume key roles in significant events. (All-Winners Squad: Band of Heroes v1 #2)
The heroic actions of the superheroes on the team were known to had been published as comic books with these being paid for by the United States Army and made through Timely Comics. (All-Winners Squad: Band of Heroes v1 #2)
