Crimson Fox (Vivian D'Aramis)

Main Article: Vivian D'Aramis

Vivian D'Aramis was a female human and twin sister of Constance D'Aramis where the siblings were the daughters of a research scientist at a multinational perfume corporation named Puanteur Grande. Their mother worked with Andre who was the Chief of the Research and Development Department where he developed a new scent that used pheromones to control the human sex response. The development came to the attention of Maurice Puanteur the chairman of the board who wanted it test marketed but the scientist believed the discovery to be too dangerous. However, his findings were overruled and he resigned as a result whilst the D'Aramis siblings mother continued her work as a chemist. By this point, she was pregnant with her daughters and bore them in a hospital. By this point though, she was suffering from cancer as a result of the experiments and died as a result where her children were then adopted by Andre out of guilt for his involvement in their mothers death. When the sisters grew up, he told them the truth with the D'Aramis siblings vowing to get revenge for the death of their mother. Eventually, Puanteur came to vanish but not before murdering Andre as well which allowed the twins to take over the company. They came to expand into a major conglomerate with it growing beyond being a perfume corporation as it went into other ventures such as publishing. The twins continued to look for Puanteur where they decided to take inspiration from the American vigilante Batman and developed their own costumed persona called the Crimson Fox. It was then that the siblings staged the death of Constance D'Aramis so that they could operate under one identity with no one being aware that the D'Aramis's were really the Crimson Fox. (Green Lantern v4 #15) This Crimson Fox apprehended Double Dare, who were attempting to rob the Louvre, and enjoyed engaging them in lascivious banter. Afterwards she was approached by the Global Guardians and asked to join their team. She told them she disliked their vilification of Green Lantern for doing his job, even though he was breaking the Freedom of Powers Act that forbid American metahumans on foreign soil. Her predecessors were friends with Green Lantern, so that meant he was her friend as well. She declined their invitation, but the Guardians told her she did not have a choice. They were being mind-controlled by Faceless Hunters in the employ of Amon Sur, and once she was forced to join she was in their thrall as well. The Guardians called another press conference introducing Crimson Fox as their newest member, and used the opportunity to bash Green Lantern again. (Green Lantern v4 #12)
