Cuotl

The Cuotl are a species that feature in Rise of Legends.

History

In the distant past of the Cuotl tribes, an alien vessel crash landed in their territories which contained the gods of the Cuotl. Incapable of leaving, they quickly spread their influence among the native tribes and developed their civilization providing them advanced technology such as energy staff and flying structures. Located within the Cuotl jungle, little is known about them except that they are a feared people. Legends say that the Cuotl race were visited by gods in their chariots a thousand years ago. After that encounter, the Cuotl people commanded powers that could not be explained by Alin mystics or Vinci science.

The lands of the Cuotl are filled with steaming jungles, towering trees and fetid swamps where visitors are discouraged to visit for fear of being attacked by dangerous insects or horrific diseases. The provinces of the Cuotl are nearly divided where reports of unseen energies mark their borders.

Overview

The Cuotl make use of advanced and powerful technology through the use of strange energies that are not truly understood. Even though Timonium is crucial for these 'machines' to function; faith and belief are equally important in Cuotl society.
