Daemons (Doctor Who)

The Daemons were an ancient and powerful race native to the planet Daemnos (or Demnos). They influenced the evolution and early development of humanity, arriving on Earth about 100,000 years ago. In particular, they eradicated the neanderthals and assisted in the construction of the Egyptian pyramids. Human racial memories of the Daemons survived as part of some Satanic rituals. The last of their race on Earth, Azal, took residence in Devil's Hump in England. The Daemons had formidable powers, with a limited but potent ability to alter their local reality.
