Biography

Dai Shi was an ancient eight-headed dragon who long ago believed that mankind should be erased from the Earth and the beasts should inherit it. Thus, his actions led to the instigation of the Beast War around 10,000 years ago though he was ultimately defeated by brave warriors able to channel the Animal Spirits. After imprisoning Dai Shi, the spirit of the dragon was contained and kept in the custody of the newly formed Pai Zhuq that were charged as protectors to ensure he was never freed again. For generations, the Order of the Claw was responsible for guarding the spirit of Dai Shi and trained its guardians who were tasked with watching over his prison. This continued until the modern age where three new guardians were to be chosen in a ceremony with one being Jarrod who grew jealous and angry over not being selected. Despite possessing the spirit of the Lion, he was denied being a guardian by Master Mao and in a fight between the two he came to accidentally release Dai Shi. The spirit of the dragon entered into his body and left the Order of the Claw when Jarrod decided to quit their ranks. Dai Shi then began to exert some influence over the mortal human where he went to free the captive Beast Spirits and become their master. However, he was weakened in his imprisonment and had not attained the full power of himself leading him to seek out masters to teach him the dark ways. This saw him reviving Carnisoar the Sky Overlord so that he would become Jarrod's mentor and teach him his power.

Powers and abilities

He was able to inhabit the bodies of mortals that housed his essence until he was restored to full power. This was seen in the case of Jarrod where he was initially limited by the human's physical abilities. However, he later came to awaken the Lion Spirit in Jarrod which he used to manifest the Black Lion Armor. This increase Dai Shi' physical strength greatly and he was able to channel the Lion Animal Spirit against his enemies. Afterwards, he underwent training by the Overlords he freed who taught him the ancient power of Zocato.
