David Cain

One of his students was Floyd Lawton who looked up to the man as the best teacher he had ever had and had taught him on how to be a killer. (Batman v #607)

Following the Flashpoint, a new version of reality was created with a different history of events.

Personality and attributes

It was said that Cain had unusual ideas about combat. This saw him experiment on infants and trained them in isolation where he deprived them of human speech. These saw him attempting to adapt the language center of the brain to interpret physical movement as a language. (Batgirl v1 #1)

  • In Batman: Arkham Origins, David Cain was referenced though did not appear in the video game. He was mentioned on a file of assassins rejected by Black Mask who considered hiring Cain's services to assassinate Batman. Cain had a rejected stamp on him alongside the likes of Cheshire and Black Spider. Shiva's profile also made mention of him as being one of her associates.
