Dean Yeager was the dean of the university where Peter Venkman, Ray Stantz, and Egon Spengler worked as paranormal psychologists. Dean Yeager had nothing but contempt for the three scientists, especially Venkman, who he believed to be a fraud, a con-artist, and overall a very poor scientist. It was Dean Yeager who personally showed up in the trio's lab and delivered the bad news (albeit with a smile) that their grant was terminated and that they were to vacate the campus immediately.
