Biography
Kyo Mibu was a male member of the mysterious and secretive Mibu Clan who was shunned in his youth due to his demonic red eyes. He was avoided by all except for Sendai Aka no Ou who was the Former Crimson King. Kyo grew up in the Mibu village to become a friend of the Former Aka no Ou. When the former Aka no Ou turned evil, Muramasa would arrive and take Kyo away from the village so that he could become the last hope of the Mibu Clan. He would become the last of the remaining True Mibu with the Sendai Aka no Ou asking that he go out into the outside world and stop the former Crimson King himself if he were to turn evil and seek the destruction of the world. After travelling the world, he formed the Shiseiten in order for him to become strong enough to return to the Mibu village and defeat the former Aka no Ou. After killing Oda Nobunaga, he was thrown into the dungeons of the Mibu until he was rescued by Muramasa who trained him in the art of Mumyo Jinpuu Ryu.
At the Battle of Sekigahara, he slew over one thousand samurai leading to him being called 'the Thousand Slayer'. During the conflict, he would encounter a young man named Kyoshiro Mibu where he was defeated and had his mind fused with his foe whilst his own body was hidden away within the forest of Aokigahara.
Overview
Personality and attributes
His original body's most distinctive feature that was noticeable were his crimson eyes which became the source of him being nicknamed Demon Eyes Kyo (鬼眼の狂, Onime-no-Kyō). He was also known as the Thousand Slayer for killing over one thousand samurai during the Battle of Sekigahara. In that battle, he was noted to had worn a red battle armor though after his fight with Kyoshiro he began to wear a blue kimono.
Originally, he was shown as having been a sadistic character who loved to kill his enemies and delighted in their deaths.
His temperament changed following his training by Muramasa which calmed him down. In the man, he saw him as a father figure and was saddened by his death.
Powers and abilities
He could call out to the True Mibu blood within him for a tremendous boost in power. In this state, Kyo's eyes became completely red and he emanated a suffocating, almost tangible, bloodlust that required strong power of will to resist. This state was difficult to maintain and may leave him drained if he used it for too long.
As one of the True Mibu, it was said that within every member of the clan resided a demon who relished in slaughter and destruction. Stirred by battle and intense desire for strength, it was capable of being awakened thus gaining immense power in exchange for loosing their sanity. By falling to the demon's influence, he ended up becoming a mindless berserker called the Demon God.
Kyo was armed with the nearly unbreakable sword Tenro that was one of the 'Four Great Demon Blades' with it being forged by Muramasa. His sword style was The Sword of a Devilish Wind (無明神風流殺人剣 Mumyou Jinpuu Ryuu Satsujin Ken?) that was taught to him by Muramasa. This technique taught him standard fencing skills and defense but these were much more powerful than any of the skills of the other sword styles. It was the most powerful of the sword schools in the Mibu Clan that utilized attacks able to cut air and create illusions.
