Biography
The Pursuer was dispatched by his master to hunt down the Forever People who was residing on Earth. (Forever People v1 #11)
He was tasked with hunting down the New Gods of New Genesis and determined that the best way to do so was by setting up a chokepoint. Devilance discovered a world that the people of New Genesis used as a fall-back point if they ever lost their world. The Apokoliptian proceeded to terraform the planet where he filled it with death-traps designed to entrap as well as kill anyone that it ensnared. (Blue Beetle v8 #11)
Overview
Personality and attributes
He was said to be the product of what could be accomplished if the tracking principle was taken to its ultimate efficiency. Every trait of a professional bounty hunter along with the crushing will of Darkseid had been bred into him. Devilance had a compulsion to pursue, trap and destroy his prey or die. (Forever People v1 #11)
Powers and abilities
He was able to adjust to any temperature allowing him to survive being submerged in lava. (Forever People v1 #11)
The demon lance was said to be capable of killing in many ways and had other tools at its disposal. A technic circuits allowed him to track quarry whilst it could allow him to fly with the press of a button. (Forever People v1 #11)
He could generate golems that were short humanoids that were shadows of their master and armed with weapons with these constructs deployed in numbers against enemies. (Blue Beetle v8 #11)
