Biography

Dexter was a male cat born on the planet Earth in the modern age. He was one of a number of kittens that found themselves at the Brooklyn Animal Shelter where he was adopted by a woman. During this time, he kept his owner company as she had been lonely for sometime and the two lived happily together. This was until one day when a home invasion occurred with the thief stealing his owner's rings with Dexter scratching the criminal. This caused his owner to wake up where she cried for help but she was murdered by the person who broke into the apartment. Afterwards, the police arrived at the apartment and cordoned off the area with two officers removing the cat from the scene as it was believed he was contaminating the crime scene. Dexter was then forced on the street to fend for himself until one day two people managed to put him into a bag as they abducted him. The abductors then took him to the bridge where they decided to throw him into the water to amuse themselves. Dexter would have died but the intense anger and rage he felt in his heart attracted a Red Power Ring that inducted him into the Red Lantern Corps. He then vowed to find the person who killed his owner and take his revenge against them. (Green Lantern v4 #55)
