Biography
Douglas Birely
He came to be a geneticist where he was intrigued by the correlation between radioactive agents and mutation. This became the focus of his studies until an accident when he came to be contaminated by a radioactive spill. This resulted in him being hospitalised for a time with him being diagnosed with a mental imbalance. As a result, his research and experiments were halted leading to him losing his job leaving the man to brood and scheme. He later heard of a meteor had fallen somewhere near the Aleutian Islands. Upon learning of the Lifestone meteor, he came to hope that it possessed some unknown properties of cosmic radiation. Using the last of his research funds, he chartered a boat and went out in search of it. Upon finding the island holding it, he came to see that he could get his revenge on the world for rejecting his research. (Godzilla v1 #5)
Afterwards, it was revealed that he had survived and came to be imprisoned at the Raft. (New Avengers v1 #4) Doctor Demonicus came to be among the many supervillains involved in the prison break made by Electro. (New Avengers v1 #3)

Personality and attributes
It was said that he suffered a mental imbalance as a result of his accident. (Godzilla v1 #5)
He came to consider his creations to be children of the Lifestone and would be upset if any of them were slain. (Godzilla v1 #5)
Powers and abilities
By adulthood, he came to be a geneticist with a particular focus on the impact of radioactive agents and mutation. (Godzilla v1 #5)
All his creations were dependent on the Lifestone and had to return to it in order to bathe it in its radiation to heal any injuries. (Godzilla v1 #4)
His followers were shown to dress in skeletal costumes similar to their boss. (Godzilla v1 #4) These consisted of other rejects from society who were dressed up as his demon soldiers. (Godzilla v1 #5)
Within his base, there was the Lifestone Pen which was where he kept his creations. (Godzilla v1 #5)
