History
Drones Wirelessly Automated to Retrieve Forensics (D.W.A.R.Fs.) were a set of drones created by agents Leo Fitz and Jemma Simons of S.H.I.E.L.D. as data seeking machines during field operations. Fitz-Simmons deployed the D.W.A.R.F.s during several operations, including when they were investigating the explosion of the Centipede Project lab in Los Angeles, scanning the site of an 0-8-4 in Peru, and activating the old HYDRA weapon Peruvian 0-8-4 during the attempted hijacking the Bus by Camilla Reyes and her troops. It was also used when S.H.I.E.L.D. was scanning the floating corpse of Frank Whalen for infection in Pennsylvania, retrieving disaster event data from the instruments at StatiCorp in Utah after a particle accelerator explosion, and blocking an escape route during the operation to apprehend international criminal T. Vanchat.
However, it was unsuccessfully used to stop Marcus Daniels by overloading his system with light, and to investigate the structural integrity of the underground city beneath Castillo San Cristóbal, San Juan, and Puerto Rico as the drones lost power upon entry. A new version that included cloaking technology was used by Daisy Johnson to monitor the inside of the Endotex Labs. It was also used to inspect the storage room of the Lighthouse after the Kree Beacon exploded the room, but was destroyed by the illusion of Lash.
Overview
In appearance, D.W.A.R.F.s were small floating drones that could be deployed by a user.
The D.W.A.R.F.s contain highly advances equipment for scanning, examination and surveillance. The upgraded D.W.A.R.F.s also include cloaking technology similar to the Quinjet and the Helicarrier. They can all be controlled from a specially designed tablet.
Notes
- The D.W.A.R.F.'s are original creations of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. with the various drones named after each of the dwarves from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
