Biography

Drusilla

Drusilla was an eccentric, mentally fractured vampire who arrived in the town of Sunnydale alongside her fiercely devoted paramour, Spike. Plagued by an unhealed mystical illness following a narrow escape from an angry mob in Prague, she was kept hidden away in an underground lair while Spike plotted to eliminate the current Slayer, Buffy Summers. Historically a devout and pure young woman in Victorian London, she had been driven completely insane by the vampire Angelus, who systematically murdered her entire family before her eyes and sired her on the very night she intended to take her holy vows. Left with a shattered psyche that blended childlike innocence with casual sadism, she spent her days interacting with a favorite porcelain doll named Miss Edith and speaking in cryptic, nonsensical rhymes while relying entirely on Spike to nurse her frail body back to full strength.

Overview

Personality and attributes

In appearance, Drusilla was a young adult human female who possessed a pale, porcelain complexion, a slender build, and a distinct Victorian elegance. She had long, dark brown hair that fell past her shoulders in loose waves and deep-set eyes that conveyed a glassy, vacant, and brooding expression. Reflecting her 19th-century origins mixed with mid-1990s alternative fashion, she wore a vintage, flowing cream-colored empire-waist dress adorned with delicate lace accents. She accessorized her historical look with subtle rings and a cross necklace, presenting the haunting silhouette of a tragic, spectral gentlewoman. When her demonic nature emerged, her brow furrowed into ridges and her eyes shifted to a piercing, monstrous yellow, contrasting sharply with her usual fragile demeanor.

Powers and abilities

Drusilla possessed a unique blend of supernatural vampire traits and innate psychic sensitivities that set her apart from ordinary undead. Even in her severely weakened physical state, she retained the basic physiological gifts of her species, including immortality, enhanced physical durability, and accelerated healing through the consumption of fresh blood. Her most distinct power was her highly accurate clairvoyance, allowing her to perceive prophetic visions, sense impending events, and read the subtle energies of others through touch. She demonstrated a powerful resistance to traditional tracking methods, slipping past the sensory awareness of local demons, and utilized her natural charm and fractured poetic speech to disarm, manipulate, and unnerve those around her.
