Biography

Origin

Sooraya Qadir

X-Men

After the X-Men vanished, Sooraya was present during a march made against Mutants after the unveiling of a vaccine that cured the X-Gene. She was part of a gathering that opposed the anti-Mutant protestors that had gathered outside the Worthington Industries. The crowd grew increasingly hostile and without any police she began to use her powers to form a dust cloud around the protestors. This was interrupted by the Champions who responded to the hostilities where they attempted to help maintain the peace from the protestors that began to lash out at anyone perceived to be a Mutant. (Champions v3 #3)

House of X

After Krakoa was made a sovereign nation, the living island was declared to be the new homeland for all Mutants who were invited to reside on its surface. Dust was among those that accepted the offer and came to live on it alongside the other X-Men. (House of X v1 #5) When Mars was terraformed by the Omega-level Mutants, the island of Arakko was transported to it where its people were set to colonise the planet. The changes in the environment though caused dust storms to rage over the surface with Sooraya using her abilities to control these to prevent them from damaging the new diplomatic wing for Krakoa. (Way of X v1 #4)
