Edward Kenway is a male video game character who features in Assassin's Creed.

Biography

Edward James Kenway was a male human born in 1693 in Swansea, Wales where he was the child of Bernard Kenway and Linette Kenway. His family was said to had relocated to a farm in Bristol in South West England. He came from a low socio-economic background and was known to had been a troublemaker for much of his life. When he was 17 years old, he was by the Auld Shillelagh tavern where he an altercation emerged when he was defending a housemaid named Rose from being rape by Tom Cobleigh. This saw the maid's master Caroline Scott intervening where she helped Edward Kenway from getting in further trouble for the incident. Upon seeing her, Edward had fallen in love with Caroline and wanted to meet her again but she refused to this being a breach of social etiquette as she was of a high class family compared to the Kenways. Thus, her father would not approve of her meeting someone of Edward's standing and also because Caroline promised to Matthew Hague who was the son of an East India Company executive.

He had said that he wanted a decent life where one could eat without getting sick and no walls to hold him back.

Powers and abilities

As a descendant of the Assassin's, Kenway possessed the extra-sensory ability known as Eagle Vision that he came to hone as an adult.
