History

The Fair Lands origins began eons ago when the faerie folk lived along humans, made by their dreams and hopes. When the humans stopped believing in fairies, the fey folk found themselves without a land to live, and the greatest lords among the fairies made a pact with Lucifer Morningstar for a new land. Lucifer gave them a part of Hell, and in pay the fairy folks must pay as tithe every seven years with seven of their fairest and wisest to join him in Hell. This was the beginning of the Fair Land, and with time, the origins of the pact were forgotten by all but the rulers of the Fair Land, but the pay kept been made. (The Books of Magic v2 #37)

In those years the land was united, and there where only one kingdom, the Seelie court. During the Kingdom of Obrey existed a Sapphire, that was told contained the essence of the fay land. This made the Finvarra, a nobleman and noble advisor of the King jealous of power, and led a rebellion against his masters. The war was hard on the land, and as a result the sapphire cracked and became two pieces. The twilight shard, Sholas, represented the Seelie court; the other piece, the dawn shard, Breacadh, represented the new force of the land, the Unseelie court. (The Dreaming v1 #47)
