The Fairy Clan are a species that features in The Seven Deadly Sins.

History

The Fairy Clan (Japanese: 妖精族, Rōmaji: Yōsei-zokuwere) one of the five races of the world who came to inhabit the lands of Britannia. According to the Lady of the Lake, the fairies and their realm was created when the Sacred Tree was made by Chaos.

Overview

In appearance, members of the fairy race resembled humanoids with the main distinction being their shorter forms, pointed ears and wings. The average lifespan of their species was far longer than those of humans where they were able to reach 1000 to 1500 years of age. It was noted that the race never got sick and had no awareness of illnesses.

A sacred treasure of the Fairy Clan was the Fountain of Youth that was an elixir that granted anyone that drank it eternal life and they became immortal as a result.

Members

  • Gloxinia : male Fairy who was King of his people who lived 3,000 years ago where he became friends with Meliodas and joined in the war against the Demon Clan. During the Holy War, he and the Giant King Drole became trapped in Purgatory where they fell into despair leading to them joining the demons. As a result, the pair became members of the Ten Commandments who were freed in the modern age.

  • Harlequin : a male Fairy who became the new King of his people and later joined the Seven Deadly Sins.
