History
The Fantasti-Car was a flying vehicle that was created for use by the Fantastic Four.
Overview
Various iterations of the vehicle had been created over the years including:
- Mark I : an oval-like flying car that could split apart into multiple sections piloted by individual members of the Fantastic Four, a model which would be maintained in all later versions. This model, like all other models used when the Fantastic Four lived in the Baxter Building was stored in the top floor hangars.
- Mark II : built by both Reed Richards and the Human Torch. It is 27 feet long, and can separate into four individual flying segments. It has VTOL capabilities and is powered by electric fans and jet turbines. It can go up to 550 mph, with a maximum altitude of 30,000 feet. While each individual pod was more clearly defined on this model, it had a number of improvements, including a transparent bulletproof windshield which could cover the entire pod, allowing for travel in extra-hazardous circumstances. This model also had a much better range and top speed, as it was able to traverse nearly the entire continental United States in a short period of time and has a range of over 3000 miles.

Alternate Versions
- In Ultimate Fantastic Four v1 #10 (2004), an alternate version of the Fantasti-Car was created in the Ultimate Marvel universe set on Earth-1610 in the Multiverse. It had been created by Reed Richards, and resembled a hybrid of the original Fantasticar and a modern sports utility vehicle.
- In Wolverine v3 #66 (2008), an alternate version of the Fantasti-Car appeared in the Wastelands reality that was designated as Earth-807128 in the Multiverse. The Hulk Gang drove around in an old Fantasti-Car on their missions to collect rent in their territories. They'd modified it a bit with green spray paint on the front, featuring sayings like 'Dead and 4-Gotten', and 'Banners Un-4 Given'. Logan later used this car packed full of C-4 to blow up the Hulk Gang's encampment, killing most of them in the process.
