Biography

Pre-Crisis

Faora Hu-Ul in Action Comics v1 #472.

Faora Hu-Ul was a female Kryptonian who was an inhabitant of Alezar on the planet Krypton. (Action Comics v1 #472)

She began to murder men that were beaten and killed with twenty three individuals suffering this fate. Krypton's Science Police uncovered her actions but she crippled half a dozen of the officers through her use of Horu-Kanu when they arrived at her farm in Alezar. Faoru Hu-Ul's lethality led to the Science Police stunning her from the air. During her trial, she expressed no remorse and even stated that if she could she would do it all over again. As a result, she was held guilty for her crimes and sentenced to three hundred cycles in the Phantom Zone. (DC Comics Presents v1 #97)

Faora came to read the mind of a human named Jackson Porter who was grieving the death of his wife Katie Porter. After learning all about her, Faora projected herself as a delusion where she assumed the guise of Katie. The human's desire to be with his wife was so strong that it allowed a bridge to form through the Phantom Zone allowing Faora to escape onto Earth with this being achieved when Mr. Porter stole the rare space element Paskorium from Superman. (Action Comics v1 #472)

Post-Crisis

Following the Crisis on Infinite Earths, a new version of history was created with a different history of events.

Post-Flashpoint

Following the Flashpoint, a new version of history was created with a different series of events.

Overview

Personality and attributes

She was noted for being a man-hater who was a monster. Faora saw all men having a weakness that she could exploit. (Action Comics v1 #472)

Powers and abilities

On Earth, she gained all the benefits afforded to a Kryptonian whilst on a world with a yellow sun. This included superhuman strength, endurance, speed, reflexes and so on. She also gained the power of flight and super-breath. (Action Comics v1 #472)

She was a master of Horu-Kanu that was the deadliest form of physical combat on Krypton. This combined with her expert knowledge of secret reflex points in the body meant she was a deadly combat. Through precise strikes, she could trigger an automatic violent reflex action from the body of a person. One technique was Dyr-Ynn that was known as the 'Phantom Touch of Death' where precise force applied to a secret pinpoint spot on the body could result in the instant death of her target. Her lethal fighting skills made it almost impossible for the likes of Superman to overcome her in combat. (Action Comics v1 #472)
