Formicoids

A Formicoid

The Formicoids were mutated, mechanically enhanced ants created by Dr. Zin to be his guards. He described them as fearless and devoted warriors. Each Formicoid was several times larger than a fully grown human and had a pair of built-in laser rifles attached to their lower arms. Due to their origin, they had the ability to communicate with and control ordinary Earth ants through sonic devices. Three Formicoids were sent to Earth to kill Dr. Quest, but failed and were slain. All of the other Formicoids were killed when Zin's asteroid base was destroyed.
