Gabriel Marie was the leader of the Cyclopes group, who believed that the world of sight was distorted and full of perversion and evil. Thus he based a religion around the cyclopes of Greek muth whereby he and his followers blinded themselves and saw with a cybernetic eyepiece. He also recruited other, already-blind men to his cause, and assisted the evil genius Krank in kidnapping children for his experiments. Of all the Cyclopes, he was the one the stolen children had nightmares about the most.
