History
The Galactic Empire (Japanese: 銀河帝国) was an interstellar government formed in the Golden Age of Humanity where mankind under the supervision of the Galactic Federation spread across the galaxy. This saw them exploring, settling and discovering many worlds where for two centuries they enjoyed an age of unprecedented peace and prosperity. However, in the 3rd century, the galaxy entered into a state of stagnation with the Galactic Federation decaying from inside.
The public, yearning for stability and a return to a 'golden age', turned to a charismatic and decorated war hero named Rudolf von Goldenbaum. Rudolf, an ex-admiral, entered politics, founded the radical National Reform Alliance party, and quickly amassed power, becoming both Prime Minister and President of the Federation through a loophole in the law. In 310 Universal Calendar (UC), with overwhelming popular support, he proclaimed himself the first Emperor, Rudolf I, abolishing the Federation, instituting the Imperial Calendar, and establishing the autocratic Goldenbaum Dynasty. He moved the capital to the planet Odin and, in a brutal act of social Darwinism, implemented the Inferior Genes Exclusion Act, a policy of forced sterilization and mass murder targeting the poor, disabled, and others deemed 'unfit' for his vision of a pure, strong humanity. He solidified his reign by creating a new aristocracy from his loyal allies, crushing subsequent revolts and establishing a rigid, feudal system that relied on absolute fear and oppression to ensure the Empire's survival for the next five centuries.
The Free Planets Alliance (FPA) originated from an escape from the Galactic Empire's oppressive rule. In 473 UC, a republican serf named Arle Heinessen, exiled to Altair VII, organized a secret escape. Along with other exiles, he oversaw the construction of a fleet of eighty starships, known as the Exodus Fleet. Over 400,000 individuals embarked on a long journey through uncharted space, later called the 10,000 Light-years Long March. Heinessen died during this journey, and leadership was taken over by Nguyen Kim Hua. In 527 UC, after fifty-four years, the surviving refugees found a habitable planet, which they named Heinessen, establishing the FPA as a democratic republic opposed to the Empire. They revived the old Universal Calendar and built a military. When the Empire discovered the Alliance in 640 UC and sent an expedition, the Alliance forces won a significant victory at the Battle of Dagon, securing their independence and encouraging further emigration from the Empire.

In appearance, the Galactic Empire was an interstellar government that operated in the galaxy.
Another body was the Imperial Military Police (Japanese: 憲兵隊) which were responsible for enforcing the laws and regulations of the Imperial Armed Forces.
The seat if power was formerly located in the palace of Neue Sanssouci (Japanese: ノイエ・サンスーシ).
