Gargoyles (Dungeons and Dragons)

Gargoyles were originally stone gargoyle statues, which were brought to true life by an ancient spell, and can be found on many worlds. Gargoyles have wings, horns, a tail and stony-colored skin. Several variations have developed over the years, including the stronger margoyle and aquatic kapoacinth.

In addition, other types of statues were animated in the same way as gargoyles- these include the archer, the grandfather plaque, the spouter and the stone lion.
