History
Geonosis was a harsh world located within the Outer Rim Territories of the galaxy where the Geonosians evolved on this planet.
During the rise of the Galactic Empire, Imperial forces went about a purge of the planet Geonosis thus leading to the near genocide of the species. Only a single adult male Geonosian survived who came to find a lone queen egg that he kept safe in the hope that she would bring about a return of the species from extinction.

- Duke Poggle the Lesser : a male Geonosian who came to rule a hive that was allied with the Confederacy of the Independent Systems and produced Battle Droids during the Clone Wars.
- Klik-Klak : a lone survived male worker Geonosian who was seemingly the lone survivor of the purge of his homeworld.

- Geonosis was created by George Lucas and made its first appearance in Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones.
