- The concept of Glob was created by Jack Kirby where it made its first appearance in Journey Into Mystery v1 #72 (July, 1961).
- The second Glob was created by Roy Thomas and Herb Trimpe who first appeared in Incredible Hulk v1 #121 (August, 1969).
- Roy Thomas has stated that the character was a conscious imitation of the Heap.
