Grathius is a business that features in the video game Devastation.

History

Grathius was a corporation that formed in the turbulent period of the early 21st century when a global disaster engulfed the Earth which left its populace in a state of ruin similar to that experienced by Europe following World War II. In this time, a mega-corporation by the name of Grathius rose to power and used its influence as well as power to enforce its rule onto the citizens of the world. This was due to the fact that martial law was the only law and the governments of the world had been long gone. The harsh environment produced meant that the only worthwhile economy was survival with technology being outlawed whilst Grathius sent out pacification squads to enforce order. This oppression led to the formation of the resistance that sought to combat the tyranny of the Grathius corporation. Members of the resistance often worked undercover at various Grathius sites such as the Grathius Genetic Research Laboratories that was destroyed by Baxter on April 7th 2075. This was to combat a new technology develoepd by Grathius which was nanotechnology based cloning designed to allow the corporation to resurrect their fallen troops thus giving them the means to producing an unstoppable army.
