Hexxus

Hexxus is an entity that features in the cartoon FernGully.

Biography

Hexxus was the spirit of destruction and an evil entity that was a foe to the fairies of FernGully who defeated him at some unspecified moment in the past where they imprisoned him within an enchanted baobab tree. He remained there for sometime until Human lumberjacks began to chop down the rainforest and accidently broke his prison. Once freed, he began to manipulate the lumberjacks and their tree leveler into cutting down the rainforest that served as the last home of the fairies as punishment for what they did to him.

Using his newly gained freedom, Hexxus began to act more directly through the Humans leveler and attacked the home of the fairies who united to stop the entity. The shrunken Human known as Zak turned off the leveler which weakened Hexxus and caused him to disappear but soon ripped forth from the machine into a demonic creature of oil that breathes fire. The fairie Crysta seemingly sacrificed herself by allowing Hexxus to devour her but used her powers in the inside to cause flowers to grow around Hexxus which began a process of imprisoning him as well as the leveler. This created a new permanent prison that encased Hexxus for all of time.
