Biography
Hideo Akaishi (Japanese: 赤石 英雄, Hepburn: Akaishi Hideo) was born 3,000 years ago and was once the ruler of an ancient South American civilization. His people feared and opposed the extraterrestrial demon Giff, who retaliated by annihilating the entire civilization overnight. Witnessing the demon's true might, Akaishi began worshiping Giff and was appointed as a mediator for humanity. Alongside with a fellow human Azuma, the two formed a contract with Giff, receiving immortality in exchange for acting as Giff's observer to judge and shape the future of mankind. In the late 20th century, Akaishi posed as a board member of NOAH to continue serving the now dormant Giff until the organization's collapse. In the wreckage of the headquarters, Hideo found the Demons Driver containing Vail. He retrieved Giff's coffin and founded the Deadmans with the purpose of reviving Giff, later recruiting a young man named Makoto Hatsushiba into the fold as Orteca. Sometime after Fenix was founded, Akaishi became the director to maintain his public persona while secretly helping the Deadmans on the side.
Akaishi arrived on the Fenix Skybase after Fenix confiscated Giff's coffin following the destruction of the Deadmans Base. He intervened after Hiromi Kadota proposed to destroy Giff's coffin, telling him that it would be a hasty decision since Fenix's priority was to locate Orteca, Aguilera and Julio. He later approached George Karizaki regarding the Demons Driver's status, which Akaishi is informed that it will be restored to its former state soon enough. After Orteca was captured by Fenix, Akaishi went to speak to him under the pretense of an interrogation. When Orteca handed over the Giff Stamp, Hiromi caught them in the act and attempted to stop them. Suddenly, the Fenix Skybase suddenly veered off course, allowing Orteca to summon the Giff Juniors to attack Hiromi, while escaping with the Demons Driver. After Orteca defeated all the other Kamen Riders as Kamen Rider Demons, Akaishi stood by Giff's coffin as it increased with energy. Sometime after Hiromi's disappearance, Daiji Igarashi approched him regarding the former's search. Akaishi stated that Hiromi was expendable and to focus on pressing concerns. As Giff's revival was coming close, Akaishi warned Orteca to not succumb with hesitation. When Kagero threatened Karizaki demanding the Crow Vistamp, Akaishi permitted Karizaki to hand it to him as it would be another challenge for Daiji to overcome, and should he fail, Kagero could take his place. Following Orteca's defeat against Holy Live, Akaishi congratulated him as Orteca's contributions will result in Giff's near revival. However, Orteca refused to become his underling as he sought to remake the world. Akaishi returned to Fenix Skybase to witness Giff's coffin absorbing the Fenix members, all according to his plan. Soon after Orteca was absorbed into Giff, Akaishi bowed before his master and declared that it was time for humanity to reach the next stage in evolution.
