Hideto Miyajima
Professor Hideto Miyajima was the head scientist of Miyajima Laboratory, to whom Masahiko Shimizu took the bit of space titanium he found in a cave on Okinawa. Miyajima identified the metal as extraterrestrial in origin. He and his daughter Eiko then travelled with Masahiko to Okinawa to investigate the cave, which as it turned out was being used as a secret base by the Black Hole aliens. The three were quickly captured.
Alien commander Kuronuma forced Miyajima to help repair the damaged Mechagodzilla by threatening to kill Eiko and Masahiko. Of course, once Miyajima finished Kuronuma broke his promise and attempted to kill all three of them by scalding them to death inside a steam-execution room. They were saved by Keisuke Shimizu and Agent Nanbara of Interpol and escaped from the case, but Miyajima, feeling guilty for assisting the aliens, returned with Masahiko and Nanbara to stop Kuronuma's plans, and succeeded despite being captured a second time.
