Biography

Hiro Shishigami (Japanese: 獅子神 皓, Hepburn: Shishigami Hiro) was a black haired Japanese teenager who came to live in the modern age. When he was young, his parents divorced and his father remarried where he started to live with a new family instead. Hiro meanwhile lived with his single mother in a small apartment where they shared a room together as they slept on futons. Due to his background, he was often bullied by the seniors at high school where his troubled life along with his frustration with his father shaped his personality. He only cam to care for two people in his life with these being his mother and his best friend Naoyuki Ando. One day, he came to witness a man commit suicide by jumping onto the path of a train with Hiro finding that he developed a sense of satisfaction at seeing other people die.

One day, he was outside late in the summer night by a remote spot to be alone unaware that another man was also there named Ichiro Inuyashiki. At that point, an extraterrestrial UFO arrived crashing into them leading to an explosion which killed the pair. The aliens had suffered an accidental collision and were determined to return to their home but sought to rectify the deaths. They decided to make use of two android bodies that they had in storage and transferred the consciousness of the two humans into these new forms. This led to them departing and leaving the two humans in their new cybernetic forms with them being initially unaware of their 'deaths'. Hiro over time quickly discovered that his body was no longer human and quickly managed to determine the extent of his new abilities.

Whilst browsing the internet, he saw the online community such as 2channel writing comments that spoke badly about his parents for his actions. Among these included people claiming that the had leaked the Shishigami address to the media thus leading to this chain of events. This saw him tracking everyone responsible for these claims and finding those taking enjoyment over their actions whereupon he posted in the forums that he was going to kill them all. The participants in the internet chats disbelieved him and goaded him to find them with them believing that he could never find their physical location. However, Hiro began to approach them and one by one he began to kill them through their computers or phones leading them dead on the spot. Thus, a wave of deaths appeared across the country with everyone from older people at their work desks to young kids at school who participated in the chats being murdered.

He determined that as a fugitive that he was always going to be pursued by the police. As such, he decided to take the battle to them and eliminate his pursuers. To that end, he arrived at the police headquarters that was managing the efforts to arrest him where he massacred all the police in the building. He did decide to leave one injured officer alive to witness his act of terminating the entire police force in the country. Upon leaving the building, he was attacked by an armed police response that concentrated their fire on him. He managed to kill many of them till he was overwhelmed and rendered unconscious at which point the defensive systems in his body activated which eliminated the remaining police officers. Shishigami then departed after completing the massacre that was partially witnessed by the media. In the aftermath, a cult following sprang among citizens in the country that became enamoured with Shishigami with him being a cultural phenomena as fan clubs and fake social media profiles came up in his name. Hiro, however, determined now that he could never be left alone as long as he was known by the people of Japan. To that end, he determined that he needed to eliminate the entire population of the country in order to be truly free from them. He found an isolated rooftop and decided to test his abilities where he used the technology in his body to hijack smartphones across Shinjuko. Hiro used them to fire his attacks through the phones leading him to kill dozens until warnings came out to stop using the smartphones. Despite people stopping using their phones, Hiro then decided to use any form of television where he killed many more random citizens leading to a total death count of 100 people. Shishigami decided that this was enough for the day as he had fulfilled his quota for his test run but promised that he would resume the killing again tomorrow with his new target being 1,000 people. The next day around the same time he check through internet forums to see people questioning whether he would do so leading to Hiro beginning his massacre by hijacking planes in the sky and causing them to crash into the city killing hundreds of people.

He requested from Ichiro to help activate the self-destruct mechanism that could be switched on by pressing his eyes. Inuyashiki agreed and complied with Hiro's request before moving to a safe distance with Shishigami detonating thus killing him. Despite his projections, the explosion was not enough to destroy the asteroid leading to Ichiro similarly activating his own self-destruct system bringing about his death but saving the Earth in the process.

Overview

Personality and attributes

In appearance, Hiro Shishigami was a young handsome Japanese male of medium height with darkish brown eye pupils and navy blue hair.

From his childhood, he stated that he only ever cared about his friends and family. During that time, he confessed he cared little about others and felt nothing if they had died. In fact, he stated that he felt that more for anime and manga characters when compared to human life. By his teenage years, he became a serial killer as he felt nothing when he killed people with him stating that these were the only times he felt alive. When his friend was bullied, he thought of nothing about killing the bullies in order to protect him. He also massacred an entire family without any hesitation and used the experience to see whether he felt anything from the experience. This included killing a young boy by allowing a dead body to fall on top of the child and letting him drown underwater. Even when people begged him to spare them or their loved ones, Hiro was shown to flatly refuse and stating that he would kill them when he was done with them. On a regular basis, during his walks back home he would simply use his abilities to kill anyone that attracted his attention. On one occasion, this included killing a family dog before entering the home to kill the mother of the house along with the crying infant. He showed no intention with killing dozens of police officers and stated that he had always hated Japan with him showing no hesitation in his desire to killing the entire population of the country. Ultimately, he claimed that he only ever felt alive when he killed people.

He was shown to be a fan of anime and manga with him having large collection of them. Among the series that he followed was the manga One Piece. In one case, he questioned one of his victims if they read manga and asked them their favourite characters.

Shishigami did not think about being a superhero and stated that this was too much work for him. He refused to change his nature and continued the life of a serial killer. When his friend asked him to surrender himself, Hiro refused and stated that he would not change for anyone.

Despite his cold attitude, the one person he cared for the most was his mother. When she was diagnosed with cancer, he shed tears for her and was determined to heal her. He even decided to stop the life of being a serial killer and make his mother happy. This extended to others that he cared about with him stating that he looked after those people but cared little for others. It was these feelings that led to him to decide to sacrifice his life to save the world for those people he cared about in the world.

Upon encounter Inuyashiki, he was surprised to encounter someone like him. He then questioned Ichiro on why he was confronting him during Shishigami's killings. Hiro then learnt that Inuyashiki felt alive when he saved people with Shishigami coming to the conclusion that Ichiro was the hero in the story whilst he himself was the villain. This resulted in him falling into a rage and looking to kill Ichiro.

Powers and abilities

Automated defensive system engaged.

Originally, Hiro was an ordinary human with all the abilities and limitations inherent of such a body. After he was killed, his body was replaced by extraterrestrial entities who placed his consciousness inside a cyborg body. This meant that he was stronger than a human with a greater level of durability allowing him to survive blows which could kill ordinary humans. Such was his strength that he was easily able to overpower other human beings and break bones. His endurance allowed him to easily survive barrages of weapon fire against his body with no damage or injuries sustained to him. This included endurance allowing him to survive attacks from another android body similar to his own. His body also had healing capabilities allowing him to repair injuries in human beings and even cure them from diseases. Examples of this included repairing a bleed from a paper cut that came on the finger of his friend Ando. Another case was curing his mother of terminal cancer when she was diagnosed that she only had months to live. When needed, his back could open up revealing a jetpack-like system allowing him to fly giving him the chance to effect a quick escape.

Through his own eyes, he possessed a HUD display that showcased all important information to him. Shishigami could access computer systems with ease allowing him to watch television that manifested in his own eyes as a display. Similarly, he could browse through the internet and even track the location of other people allowing him to find their physical location with ease. Hiro's cybernetic systems allowed him to infiltrate the computer systems around the world with nothing being able to combat his invasions. Shishigami could easily hack through financial computers allowing him to withdraw countless sums of money. He stated that he could with ease take over the nuclear launch systems in America and send a warhead sent at China. Through hand movements, he could hijack the controls of vehicles allowing him to direct cars to crash into one another. In another case, he could hijack the signals sent to a television and have them to display something else entirely. Shishigami could also manipulate electronic currency allowing him to withdrawn countless sums of cash for his needs. He could also conduct highly accurate simulations in his mind allow him to make projections about various actions.

He had a range of weapons that were built into his cybernetic body. This included being able to fire an unknown form of attack from his finger tips. These shots left no projectile material or trace with simply the impacts being present on the target. According to him, he had a visual sight of 1 kilometre with him being able to shoot at targets 10 kilometres away. He often fired shots from his fingers with the expression 'Bang' to signify that he had attacked his target. Hiro could also use both his hands to give the gesture of a machine gun with him shooting quicker attacks against targets. When requiring heavier firepower, he could manifest a number of weapons that were hidden in his arms which opened up to allow him to make use of them. It was shown that he could manifest these attacks from a great distance such as through computer screens. According to the creators of the robotic body, it was said that the mechanical forms contained enough power to devastate the Earth.

If rendered unconscious, an automated defensive feature would activate to protect Hiro from further harm. This manifested as being a weapon system that opened up from his back that fired countless shots that manifested as streams of light. These attacks were able to home in on targets and could be used to eliminate anyone with them able to terminate enemies until no danger remained behind. When activated, a camera emerged from his head that searched for threats and sought to terminate any threat to the user. During such time, it relentlessly targeted its threat and did not cease until either it was defeated or the target was destroyed.

His mechanical body possessed a self-destruct system that was activated by pressing the eyes. When active, his body detonated leading to a particularly powerful explosion.
