Inspector Lane

Inspector Lane was the police inspector to whom Dr. Cranley reported the disappearance of his assistant Jack Griffin. When it was learned that Griffin was the so-called Invisible Man responsible for the rash of murders in and around Iping, Lane took command of the police's efforts to apprehend him and it was a bullet from Lane's gun that finally brought down the murderous fugitive and ended his reign of terror.
