History
The Aliens were an aggressive expansionist species from an unknown world that had developed an advanced civilization that prowled the universe. Their race developed into a plague-like threat as they preyed on numerous worlds across space. One of their conquests was a planet inhabited by a trans-sentient beings that had uploaded themselves into mechanical bodies ad had developed a highly advanced civilization. The Aliens battled this race and had pushed them to the brink of extinction. Despite devastating their homeworld, the race of mechanical spheroids had journeyed into space and sought out other worlds that could become victims of the Aliens. Such civilizations had survivors rescued and taken to a refuge world before they could be rendered extinct by the Alien harvesters. Once there, a coalition of extraterrestrial species was formed over the course of a thousand years that they would be united to fight the Aliens. A stalemate emerged with the Aliens who were unable to locate their foes planet of origin. Thus, it became a priority among their kin to hunt down the sapient artificial intelligence Spheres in order to eliminate the last source of resistance against them on the sanctuary world they had created.
In 1947, an Alien space ship had crash landed on Earth outside of Roswell, New Mexico. Two of the Aliens were killed in the crash whilst a third was seriously wounded. The crash ship and its occupants were taken by the United States Air Force to a new installation outside of Rachel, Nevada called Homey Airport that became known as Area 51. In a matter of weeks, the survivor died as well with the military hiding the existence of the Aliens from the world and began to study them over the next forty years. In the course of studying the Alien scout ship, attempts were made to repair it whilst studying the physiology of the Alien corpses. Despite the study, none of the technology could be accessed as no power was transmitted to it.
Overview
In appearance, the Aliens were a bipedal race smaller than a human being with greyish skin, elongated swept heads and large compound eyes. Their had two arms with a pair of clawed digits and similarly had two digits on their two legs with their feet being swept back. The Invaders were a telepathic species and were capable of using this ability to either communicate to others or kill other life forms.
Central in their hierarchy were a caste of leaders known as the Queens. On their Harvesters, a Harvester Queen commanded the massive vessels in taking the resources of a world. The death of these entities effectively saw a complete loss of command and control over the Alien forces that led them to retreat. An invasion force that lost their Harvester Queen retreated and rendezvoused with the nearest Queen adding to their forces.
As a species, they were aggressive and were compared to locusts in that they moved their whole civilization from planet to planet in order to consume every natural resource until they moved on to the next world. Their war-like nature meant that they did not consider peace with other species.
Technology
The Aliens were skilled in the use of bio-technology with their equipment being grown for their needs. One example of their genetic engineering skills was their biologically based environmental suits. Ordinary suits were twice the size of humans with the Alien simply slotting in and piloting them. The bio-suits offered them greater strength and mobility allowing them to operate in other environments.
A key resource component used by the aliens was the energy generated by a planetary core. It was for this reason that they attacked worlds whereupon they began to drill into the core. Once they reached the core, they extracted it from the target planet thus ending all life on it. The core was then taken as energy used to power and grow more of their technology.
Among the largest craft used by the aliens was a type known as the Harvester. These vessels were so massive that they had their own gravitational field that devastated worlds that they approached. Upon arriving on a world, their vast hulk landed over an entire massive ocean. Within the huge ships, there was an entire ecosystem with an atmosphere along with forests filled with plant-life. Harvesters were armed with energy shields to protect themselves from attacks and had numerous energy based weapons. In addition, they were able to generate a planet-wide electromagnetic pulse that knocked out all technology on a target world.
