Biography
Jason Broderick Wynn
While on a mission, Wynn had Simmons ambushed by his partner Chapel who was responsible for burning him alive. Unknown to Wynn, this led to Simmons soul being taken by the demon Malebolgia who turned him into a Hellspawn. Returned to Earth, he then went about looking to get his revenge against Jason Wynn.
Later on, Jason Wynn was hunted down an killed by the new Spawn who was former scientist Jim Downing. His wife had been tortured and killed by Wynn leading to the new Hellspawn seeking revenge by breaking the villains neck. (Spawn v1 #227)
