Biography
Shinichi Kudo (Japanese: 工藤 新一, Hepburn: Kudō Shin'ichi) was born to the renowned mystery author, Yusaku Kudo, and the former actress, Yukiko Kudo nee Fujimine. At age four, he started Kindergarten at age 4 where he encountered a young girl, whom was crying about the name tag that got stolen from her by some bullies. While on a date with his childhood friend Ran Mouri, the famous high school detective Shinichi Kudo encounters two men from a secret criminal organization who force feed him a strange poison that causes his body to shrink back to first grade age. However, due to a rare side-effect, he shrinks to the form of a young child except for his nervous system and therefore he still has the personality, memories, and incredible deductive ability of his teenage self.
Shinichi first appearing in the middle of a case where a murder was committed during a party at a private mansion where one of the guests, President Yamazaki of Yatsubishi Bank, was found dead with a bullet in his heart. The police, led by Inspector Megure, have been investigating the crime scene, but have no conclusive evidence as to who the killer is Shinichi declared that he figured out who the murderer is and concludes that the murderer could only have been someone who knew the mansion very well and eventually points his finger at the landlord. The latter, being in a wheelchair, then starts to laugh, claiming that he's in no position to be able to commit such a crime. Shinichi then grabs a globe and throws it towards the owner who immediately jumps out of his chair to avoid it. The maid and guests are all in shock. Shinichi then says that he's been healed for a while now as reported by his doctor, which Megure confirms. The Landlord attempt to escape but Shinichi stop him with soccer skills. Later Megure thank Shinichi for his help where Shinichi tells Megure to called him to solve another difficult case When Heiji Hattori a High School Detective arrives at Mouri Detective Agency looking for Shinichi in order to determine which of them is the better detective. A strange combination of having a cold and drinking the baijiu that Heiji had brought along allows Conan to briefly grow into Shinichi once again. However, he appears to develop an immunity to alcohol and cannot replicate the transformation.
Jimmy Kudo successfully assisted the police in solving a murder at a wealthy estate, where he used his keen observation skills to prove that a globe had been used as a hidden pedestal to commit the crime. Following this success, he spent a day at the Tropical Land amusement park with his childhood friend, Rachel Moore, though he remained preoccupied with his own deductive brilliance and the various people around them. While riding a roller coaster, he witnessed a gruesome decapitation and immediately took charge of the crime scene, using the presence of gymnastics-related calluses and a specific pearl necklace to identify the culprit among the passengers. After solving the case, he noticed a suspicious man in black acting covertly and decided to follow him, witnessing an illegal business transaction in a secluded area of the park. While distracted by the exchange, a second accomplice ambushed Jimmy from behind, striking him over the head with a metal pipe. Instead of killing him with a weapon, the mysterious men forced a prototype poison called APTX 4869 down his throat, intending to leave no trace of his death. Jimmy lost consciousness as a searing heat surged through his body, only to wake up later and discover that his physical form had regressed into that of a primary school child.
Kudo struggled to navigate his new reality as a small child, eventually stumbling back to his own neighborhood where he encountered his eccentric neighbor, Dr. Hiroshi Agasa. After demonstrating his deductive prowess by identifying the doctor’s recent whereabouts and a hidden stain on his clothing, Jimmy managed to convince the skeptical scientist of his true identity. Their conversation was suddenly interrupted by Rachel Moore, who arrived looking for Jimmy; in a moment of panic, Jimmy threw on a pair of oversized glasses and invented the alias Conan Edogawa on the spot. He agreed to move into Rachel’s home after learning her father, Richard Moore, was a private investigator, hoping the connection would lead him to the men who had poisoned him. His first opportunity arose almost immediately when a wealthy man arrived to hire Richard to find his kidnapped daughter. Jimmy secretly followed them to the crime scene and noticed critical details the adults overlooked, such as the specific positioning of a vent and the behavior of a family dog. By kicking a stray football with immense precision, he managed to trip the kidnapper during a frantic chase, ensuring the girl’s rescue while remaining in the shadows. Though Richard claimed the credit for the collar, Jimmy realized he could use the bumbling detective as a front to continue his work.
Shinichi return back to his original body with an antidote made by Ai in order to fool Ran into thinking that Shinichi and Conan are two separated people after learning that Ran was certain of his identity after donating blood to him when he was shot in stomach. He reveal himself as the Knight in the school play.
Shinichi returns back to the original body after taken an antidote for APTX 4869 that was accidentally given to him by Agasa while investigated a previous case that solved where the person involved in the case claimed he made a mistake in the deduction. Shinichi return back to his original body via taking the antidote made Haibara one for the trip and ibe back to Japan so he is able to take a flight to London as he couldn't travel overseas as Conan. When Ran calls Shinichi for advice on the riddles. Conan, tells Ran the first riddle "A rolling bell rises me", refers to Big Ben, and which made Ran believe Shinichi is in London. Realizing Ran will discover Conan's true identity if she finds him, Conan and Agasa flee from her. Conan becomes cornered in a phone booth and is forced to take the antidote, APTX 4869, for the return trip and confronts Ran as Shinichi. Ran confesses her pain of liking Shinichi believing he is indifferent to her feelings and runs away as Shinichi is left chasing after her. When Shinichi finally caught up to her and answers Ran's hurt feelings over his behavior with the fact that he cares for her and that he likes her which surprised her.

Personality and attributes
In appearance, Jimmy Kudo was an above-average height Japanese teenager with a light-complexion, pale skin and a thin yet athletic build. He has blue eyes and short dark brown/black hair with a cowlick in front and distinctive tuft in the back. Shinichi bears a striking resemblance to his father, Yusaku Kudo albeit a less defined jawline and minus his father's mustache. Often, he is well-noted as very handsome as he became very popular with the girls around his age, regularly getting love letters, which has only grown since becoming a famous detective. Shinichi often appears in his high school uniform, but he also wears a suit and tie or regular clothing depending on the occasion. When Conan turns back into Shinichi by using baijiu or the prototype antidote, Shinichi will wear whatever appropriately sized clothing he can find at the time.
Powers and abilities
Shinichi is already well-known as a brilliant young detective, the 'savior of the police force', for solving many difficult cases the professionals could not. He wa extremely intelligent, and even from a young age was very intuitive and observant. Due to the influence of his father and the general laissez-faire environment at home, he has long been an incessant and persistent reader, especially of mystery novels. His father, Yusaku started taking Shinichi to crime scenes as a child, which inspired him to be a detective. Due to his bluntness and matter-of-fact manner, Shinichi can come off as rude and arrogant. However, he cares deeply about human life, unable to understand how any reason could be sufficient motive for murder, and is convinced that driving a culprit to suicide is no better than murder itself. The few times he has been too late to save a life haunt him throughout the series. He also thought of other people's feelings, and in some cases he has been willing to conceal facts from a certain parties in order spare them from being scarred from the ugly truth.
