John Roger Tensen was a male human born in the modern age on Earth.

Personality and attributes
He considered himself to be a warrior who served the cause of justice. (Justice v2 #1)
Powers and abilities
He was able to sense the 'aura' of a person which he used to determine if they had good or evil intent. According to him, those that possessed a golden 'aura' were said to be pure though such people were rare. He had said that he found it difficult to focus on an 'aura' in a crowd of people. (Justice v2 #1)
From his right hand, he was able to project beams in the shape of a sword able to disintegrate a target. (Justice v2 #1)
Meanwhile, his left hand was capable of projecting a shield capable of protecting other people. Though capable of protection, he could use it offensively by pushing at a person to force them back through physical force. (Justice v2 #1)
