Overview

The JSF were a group of elite soldiers that were modeled after the Marine Expeditionary Units. They were known for the integration of their air and ground forces. The Joint Strike Force excelled in precision firepower and were capable of rapid deployment around the world. They were the epitomy of "high speed, low drag" which was built around a small, fast and light units.

Its members specialised in state of the art stealth technology and battlefield robotics. They had access to Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, Automated Sentry Drones and state of the art stealth technology.

Infantry

Ghosts

The JSF Ghosts draw their ranks from all branches of the U.S. military from the Marine Force Recon, Navy SEALS, Army Rangers, Green Berets, Air Force Pararescuemen and even the Ghost Recon teams. This means and each individual contains a wealth of experience as the recruit has gone through an extensive training program before even wearing the JSF uniform. Such an action allows an effective mixture of various doctrines from the different special operation units creating a single unified combat doctrine. JSF instructors have since used this as a means of incorporating the different tactics of each special operations branch to further enhance the training plan.

Their armaments consisted of a Special Operations Forces Combat Assault Rifle Advance 1 (SCARA1) which was somewhat controversial when it was adopted as the standard weapon. It was Belgian in origin and designed in two variants; one a 5.56mm NATO variant and the other a 7.62mm NATO cartridge. The current SCAR A1 was the same weapon and redesigned by a U.S. company into a newer 6.8mm cartridge. The US arms company that made it claimed it as an original design which infuriated the original manufacturers resulting in a number of lawsuits none of which were settled. Despite these problems, its proven to be a formidable rifle and marked improvement over the U.S. military's previous weapon systems.

In addition to this, the Ghosts are equipped and wired with the latest communication gear as well as body armor all of which are descendant of the Land Warrior program. JSF snipers also have access to semi-automatic .50 caliber sniper rifles which were upgraded with anti-material shells for additional firepower.

Pioneer

Some members of the JSF do not wish to be a simple soldier with certain recruits wanting to go further by becoming a Pioneer who come from every branch of the U.S. military as well as a number of intelligence agencies and private organizations. They are deployed quickly and effectively with an array of advanced weapon as well as other devices that can give their unit an edge in battle. Their tools are, however, not as advanced as those of the EFEC which means in a straight firefight with an enemy riflemen squad, a Pioneer would be at a distinct disadvantage.

The role of the Pioneer blends that of traditional combat engineers and heavy infantry with them given the role of providing an extra punch on the battlefield to aid their battalions against enemy vehicles or gunships. Though effective in these duties, to accomplish them a Pioneer would first require some cover. In addition to this, they were known to plant defensive systems in areas, remove enemy area denial weapons and fortity uplinks by dropping in sentry drones.

The JSF Pioneers are armed with an APE-1A2 which was a revolutionary exoskeleton that was developed by a private U.S. military contractor specifically for the Strike Force. This allows its user to triple their bodyweight allowing them to carry their primary weapon which was the AT5CQ rocket launcher. For more firepower, the Pioneer was capable of using the devastating man-portable microgun thanks to the exoskeleton support which fired the same ammunition as the SCAR A1. This essentially makes a single Pioneer into a walking mobile gun turret.

Rods from God

Developed at the same time as the European Federation revealed its orbital directedf energy weapon satellite. The United States made its kinetic energy strike satellite public for the world to see. It worked by launching a high density kinetic projectile from space to a planetary location. They contained no explosives but were rocket assisted to provide a level of guidance. After speeding towards their target at around 6 miles a second, each "rod" impacted the surface whereupon it released a massive amount of energy with an explosion that was roughly the equivalent of a very small nuclear device.
