Prof. Julian Keeley was acientist and old schoolmate of Prof. Larimer Van Helsing. The two attended Oxford University together. Along with several other men (Lord Carradine, General Freeborne and John Porter), Keeley became involved in blood-worshipping rituals at Pelham House, where he fell under the spell of the evil Count Dracula. Dracula forced Keeley to engineer a new strain of Bubonic Plague with which to wipe out humanity, a task which drove Keeley insane. He hung himself after completing the work and confessing to Van Helsing.
