Kefka

Kefka is an evil clownish villain. Flamboyantly malicious and mentally unhinged, Kefka's mind was snapped as a child when he underwent the same process that made General Leo and General Celes into Magitek Knights. Jealous and aggressive, he killed Cyan's family and everyone else at Doma Castle by poison, and schemed endlessly against the enigmatic Celes and the noble Leo, finally killing the latter in an invasion of Thamasa when Leo was having second thoughts about his association with the Empire.

When Gestahl and Kefka raised the Esper's continent into the sky with the statue forms of the three Goddesses, Kefka killed Gestahl and moved the statues out of alignment, breaking their delicate balance and destroying the world. Junk and the wreckage of lost towns coalesced at the center of the new main continent of the world of ruin to form a great tower atop which the new mad demigod Kefka schemed, received the worship of the mad mages of the fanatic's tower to the north, and sent forth his power to blast innocent towns for opposing him. He was finally defeated by the half-esper Terra and her companions.
