History
It was claimed that the shooting star that struck at Sekigahara that created the Kenyo was instigated by the actions of the Mibu Clan. Following the Battle of Sekigahara, Kenyo began to appear in greater numbers across the lands.
Overview
In appearance, these monsters were able to assume their former human forms but were able to transform into their demonic monstrous nature at any moment. As such, they were quite capable of masking their true form among humans until they abandoned that disguise.

- Kenyo do not appear in the original manga but are instead an original creation of the anime with almost all the villains being Kenyo.
