Biography

Kimura as X-23's handler in X-23: Target X v1 #5.

Kimura was a female human born in the modern age where she was the daughter of an alcoholic father and an uncaring mother. She faced constant abuse from her father at home and found similar such treatment among her peers in the schoolyard. This remained the case until her grandmother came to her rescue and took her away from this environment. However, it was partly too late in that all hope and good had been beaten out of Kimura long ago. She remained with her grandmother until a heart attack caused her to pass away with Kimura eventually come to find the Facility. They offered her a chance at getting revenge on all the people that had tortured her in her life by inflicting such pain onto others. (New X-Men v2 #36)

Armed with a sniper rifle, she infiltrated the outskirts of the Xavier Institute where she attempted to shoot X-23 in the head. She was stopped when her body was temporarily paralysed by Emma Frost who confronted the Facility handler over her actions and to punish her for her treatment of X-23 she decide to purge the assassin of memories of her loving grandmother. Frost then implanted a command into Kimura to return to the Facility and eliminate the heads of the organisation. (New X-Men v2 #36)

As part of her test, she had X-23 sent to Dayesville where she had the Trigger Scent placed on her to send Laura into a rampage. Whilst affected, X-23 used her own claws to pierce her brain to render herself unconscious to prevent her from killing anyone. As a result, Kimura had Bellona kill the people on the town and claim to the awakened Laura that she had done the killing. (All-New Wolverine v1 #18)

During the fight, X-23 tackled Kimura into the waters by the coast where she drowned her foe and killed her. (All-New Wolverine v1 #18)

Overview

Personality and attributes

She claimed to love fighting telekinetics cause they tended to be overconfident when fighting and were very reliant on their powers. (New X-Men v2 #36)

Kimura was said to be a plain and simply bully who was a product of her past. She was said to be born into a life she did not deserve and simply played the role of victim in her formative years. Thus, she enjoyed targeting people that were weaker than her and could not hurt her. (New X-Men v2 #36)

It was said that she was a monster who deserved to die with Kimura agreeing on such comments. (New X-Men v2 #36)

The one person she was close to was her grandmother who came to her rescue where she called Kimura her 'sweet child' and did everything possible to undo the damage done to her grandchild. All memory of her grandmother came to be wiped from her mind via telepathy from Emma Frost. (New X-Men v2 #36)

Powers and abilities

Her body was said to be indestructible and incapable of being killed through the use of sharp clawed weapons. It was said that the only way to effectively kill her was from inside her body. (New X-Men v2 #36)

Enhancements were made to protect her body from harm but no such defences were made for her mind. (New X-Men v2 #36)

She was known to use special equipment against some of her opponents. This included a sonic device that generated loud noises in order to disorient a telekinetic to prevent them from forming a coherent thought. (New X-Men v2 #36)
