Biography

The King of the Night (Japanese: 夜の王, Hepburn: Yoru no Ō?) was a male human being who was killed and brought back to life by the necromancer Eucliwood Hellscythe. He became a zombie in her service and maintained a very strong relationship with her. In time, he grew in power and rank where he became known as a notorious figure in the Underworld. He stood alongside Eucliwood during her time in the Underworld when she could speak without suffering from pain of her magic. In that time, the Underworld came under attack from the world of Villiers where they were attacked by their most powerful Masou-Shoujo named Chris. At some point, he became privy to some of Chris's weaknesses. Though initially overjoyed at immortality, his heart became filled with malice and ambition that led to him killing the Seventh Abyss who was one of the high ranking individuals of the Underworld. His actions shocked, horrified and saddened Eucliwood who rejected him where she attempted to destroy him. However, he managed to survive but was separated from Lady Hellscythe where he became obsessed with finding her again so that she could destroy him as this was his fondest desire. At some point, she encountered a magical-garment girl by the name of Kyoko and corrupted her whereupon she was driven mad leading to her operating as a serial killer that took the lives of the person's she had killed. This act not only increased her power and gave her extra lives that she could expend to resurrect herself and operated in this role secretly.

Afterwards, Kerberos Wansard was shown to be investigating recent serial killings where the King of the Night was first mentioned to Ayumu. Kerberos the Megalo told Ayumu that the serial killer had been killing people and taking their souls in order to sacrifice them to the King of the Night. This was in order for him to bestow tremendous magical power and other gifts to the killer. Before he could finish his explanation, Kerberos was destroyed by Kyoko who had manifested one of the powers given to her namely the glowing eyes of a Megalo.
