Biography

Kirito Kamui (Japanese: 鹿矛囲 桐斗, Hepburn: Kamui Kirito)

On May 2009, he boarded an airplane alongside his elementary schoolmates as they went on a field trip. The flight was passing by Mount Kumataka where a problem with the airframe caused it to crash ad seemingly killed everyone aboard. However, Kamui himself managed to mysteriously survive where his badly damaged body was taken to hospital where he came under the came of Dr. Yohei Masuzaki who worked for the Togane Foundation. To save the boy, he performed a number of difficult and risky surgeries that involved grafting the various body parts of the corpses of the other passengers to Kirito's body. These transplants were ultimately accepted by his body and he managed to make a full recovery as a result. However, a side effect of the transplantation led to Kamui becoming a 'ghost' to the Sibyl System as the organs slowly integrated with his body alongside with the personalities of the former owners.
