Biography

Origin

Konohamaru Sarutobi (猿飛木ノ葉丸, Sarutobi Konohamaru)

During the exams, the village came under attack from the sand ninja who were assisted by Orochimaru's sound ninja who were in hiding. The two intended to completely eliminate Konohagakure which instituted its emergency measures in case of attack that saw the women and children taken to shelter. Konohamaru remained in the underground shelter with the other villagers whilst Konohagakure's shinobi in valiant defence of their home. Ultimately, they were successful in defeating the enemy who were driven into retreat. However, they came that their victory came at a high cost as Hiruzen Sarutobi had been killed whilst sealing away Orochimaru's jutsu thus leaving his former student greatly weakened as a result. In the aftermath, a funeral was held for the fallen Hokage with a crying Konohamaru in attendance as he mourned his grandfather. Afterwards, he found that his grandfathers belongings were being removed from the Hokage's office with this angering Konohamaru which was when he learnt that the Fifth Hokage had been chosen. He then came to meet the new Hokage which was a woman by the name of Tsunade though this news angered Konohamaru. He resented her as he believed the appointment of a new Hokage meant that the hidden leaf would begin to forget his grandfather. Thus, he locked himself in the Hokage office where he set traps to prevent anyone from entering the room with him refusing to listen to others and even did not listen to Naruto. Tsunade managed to effortlessly enter the office though she required a book from the Hokage's room in order to help heal injured hidden leaf shinobi. This single minded approach to aiding the village reminded him of his own grandfathers care of the ninja under him with Konohamaru coming to terms with his grandfathers death.

Next Generations

Afterwards, the Chunnin guards of the village were attacked with the perpetrator was seemingly Mitsuki who disappeared in the night. Konohamaru came to request being assigned to the team to recover his student. It was then revealed to him by Naruto that Mitsuki was in fact the son of Orochimaru with this drawing some mixed emotions from Konohamaru.

Overview

Personality and attributes

He had a deep seated wish to become the Hokage of his village and worked hard to achieve this dream. Originally, he came to resent being considered the honoured grandchild of the Third Hokage.
